Billy Dee says his new grandson, Mr. William Taylor Donahue, born just a few months ago looks just like him. Billy is also very proud of his son who graduates from army school on the 17th as a certified Medic.
Lots going on in Billy Dee's world. Billy has just finished up in the studio recording his new CD "When the Vow Breaks" and is very excited. Billy's recorded 13 great new songs featuring musicians Floyd Domino, Jason Roberts, Redd Volkaert, Ricky Davis, Tom Lewis, Gary Claxton, a duet with Kira Small ("Only Time Will Tell",) and he has Ray Benson and Dale Watson singing with him on "Only Hell My Mama Ever Raised"!
Billy says, "I'm really happy about this one. Yea!! And lets not forget the great Cris Burns who has done a really great job engineering, and mixing this new CD. And Redd has done a wonderful job being the producer on this project. If you think my 1st one sounded good, wait till yall hear this."
Billy and Redd have decided to pursue separate musical directions and have dissolved the ReddBilly Band. Yeah, I know that's a drag, but the good news is that they are still great friends and Redd is producing Billy's new CD (more on that in a second) and they will still play together on occasion.
The Billy Dee Band will be holding Monday nights at Ginny's with Tom Lewis on drums and Ricky Davis on steel, but with different guitar players (until Billy finds the right match.)
The lovely Kira Small puts up with a lot.
I'm glad to be back playing all our regular gigs, plus I want announce I'm playing on the new "Clamdiggers" CD, and the new "Two Country" CD{ Band from England}. And I'd like to thank Dale Watson for having me sing on his new cd-"Dreamland" It was an Honor!
In other news: On July 17th my Sister Lisa getting married in St. Louis.

April 10th My Son Billy Jr. got hitched in Atlanta {I attended}
In Oct {?}--- MY NEW GRANDSON will be born to my Son Billy Jr.!!!

Jim Lutz is now Billy Dee's new guitar player. Jim is a talented instrumentalist who has performed with many wonderful bands in Central Texas. Billy is extremely happy to have him at his side.
Hey yall, it's me Billy Dee. I wanted to mention something about my new drummer officially being a "Dee-Lyte!" ha,ha! Ron Sherrod has played with many great artists over the years like--Johnny Russell, Jim Ed Brown, Jeannie Sealy, Jack Green, Jerry Redd, just to name a few. He's a veteran of over 30 years on the road, and is a great guy. He's really done a great job with me.
I'd like to thank all my friends and fans of country music in Europe for the wonderful time we had, and the great reception they gave us at every show.
Everyone was great and man---Did we eat!!! All the food was fantastic, and all of our friends and hosts were most gracious -- Didier, Andreu, Hanny, Toni, Pep, Jocelyn {Euro-Disney}, RonBob, Margaretha, and the kiddo's Natalie, and Danny, and let's not forget---"Big Frank", and all his family, who were so nice to us, and made us feel at home.
And all the other great club-owners and promotors who were just great, and made sure we were taken care of!
I can't wait to see everyone again soon, and hopefully have my new cd for ya'll.
Once again, thanks to everyone and especially my "Wonderful Webmaster" Bill Groll, who kept my site going, and kept ME going throughout these last few years.
